What Are Your Shipping Policies?

All merchandise is F.O.B. warehouse or factory, unless otherwise stated, prepay and add and will be shipped as soon as possible. Please furnish shipping instructions with each order. All orders are shipped dock to dock, weekdays during normal business hours unless otherwise specified. Additional services such as lift-gate, inside delivery, re-routing, re-delivery, or other requests are subject to an additional fee. All orders requesting a Call Before Delivery, are subject to a $40.00 charge. Hiawatha Chef Supply, is not responsible for damages or loss incurred in transit. BEFORE ACCEPTING ANY MERCHANDISE FROM THE CARRIER. Inspect all cartons for visible signs of damage. Note any loss or damage on the delivery receipt BEFORE YOU SIGN FOR IT. If there is loss or damage, make an immediate claim with the delivery carrier. In case damage is concealed and not determined until item is unpacked, keep the packing slip and all the packing materials, and notify the carrier immediately for an inspection. All claims of damage from transport should be filed directly to the carrier by the customer within 24 hours of receiving. Failure TO DO SO, may result in a loss of claim. BY SIGNING the delivery receipt or bill of lading, the customer acknowledges the order was received in good condition. Please call us for assistance if you are having problems with the carrier.
